Empowering Communities through Comprehensive Health Training

CIRHT partners with institutions across the world to deliver hands-on reproductive health education, creating lasting change for women, girls, and healthcare providers in underserved regions.

About Us

The Center for International Reproductive Health Training (CIRHT) is dedicated to transforming reproductive health education in regions where access is critically limited. By partnering with medical schools in resource-constrained areas, CIRHT integrates hands-on training in family planning, safe abortion care, and maternal health into curricula. This approach equips healthcare professionals with the skills needed to provide essential services, thereby improving health outcomes for women and communities. Join us in advancing global health through education and empowerment.

Our Approach

Skilled health professionals are the backbone of healthier families and resilient communities. CIRHT collaborates with medical, midwifery, and nursing schools in underserved areas, providing future healthcare leaders with essential training in reproductive health. Through a comprehensive approach rooted in patient care, research, and hands-on education, we empower these professionals to create lasting change where it’s needed most.

Training

Partnering with medical, nursing, and midwifery schools, we prepare students to meet reproductive health needs across family planning, abortion care, and counseling. Beyond the classroom, students build hands-on skills in simulation labs, clinical attachments, and supervised internships to deliver compassionate, effective care in their communities.

Service

Through hands-on training, students develop essential clinical, communication, and counseling skills to provide quality reproductive care. By learning to address individual patient needs—whether in contraceptive counseling or abortion care—these health professionals are equipped to reduce stigma and support women’s health with compassion and respect.

Research

Our ‘team science’ approach empowers students and faculty to collaborate on impactful reproductive health research. By asking critical questions and gathering local data, they generate valuable insights that drive evidence-based practices, improve health outcomes, and support stronger reproductive health services in the communities they serve.
