Launch of the New Midwives’ Data Hub: Mapping the future of midwives through data
The International Confederation of Midwives (ICM), in partnership with Direct Relief, had launched the Midwives’ Data Hub: a data-driven platform designed to elevate the visibility of midwives and sexual, reproductive, maternal, newborn, and adolescent health (SRMNAH) indicators in global health systems. This allows midwives and SRMNAH professionals to have a single digital space to explore, compare, and apply trusted datasets from WHO, UN agencies, and other global sources.

Funded by IDRC between 2022 and 2025, the cohort supports seven implementation research projects across as many sub-Saharan African countries (Ghana, Niger, Nigeria, The Gambia, Burkina Faso, Malawi, South Africa).
